Sometimes You Run the Perfect Play and It Still Doesn’t Work.

I have a listing right now that I’m proud of. Priced it right. Marketed it well. Packed open houses, great foot traffic, genuinely enthusiastic feedback. No offers yet.

That’s not a story most agents tell publicly. But it’s the truth, and sellers deserve to hear it. Real estate isn’t a vending machine — you don’t just put in your money, press a button, and get exactly what you want. It’s a house, not a Chips Ahoy!

The market is made up of people, and people are unpredictable. The right buyer might be a week away, or two. They might be waiting on a job offer, wrapping up their own sale, or simply not ready yet. None of that is a reflection of the home, the price, or the effort behind it.

What I’ve learned is that you can control the process. You cannot control the outcome. The job is to run the best possible play and trust that the right result follows — even when the timeline isn’t yours to decide.
